The Raceday Stewards interviewed W.P.Browne, trainer of Niobium Power, regarding the nomination of S. Foley who was not available. Michael Browne, Authorised Representative for W.P. Browne stated that the agent of S. Foley said that he could ride the horse but when the declarations were out, S. Foley was declared to ride in England. He added that W.P. Browne rang HRI immediately to explain what happened and they told him it was no problem. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed J.M. Sheridan to ride the horse as provided for under the provisions of Regulation 3 and referred the matter on to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Niobium Power, trained by W.P.Browne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very green from about three furlongs out.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Jackie Jump Up (GB), ridden by R.M Mulligan, and trained by J.P. Murtagh. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and Oleg Pereverzev, Authorised Representative for the trainer. R.M Mulligan stated that his instructions were to get his mount relaxed early and have her come home as best she could. He added that his filly was keen on its last two runs and wore a first time hood today. He further added that he was unable to quicken from two furlongs out and just stayed on past tired horses. He concluded by stating that his mount became unbalanced on the soft ground in the final furlong and that she was giving everything so he didn't feel the need to use his whip. Oleg Pereverzev confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given.
